Trek [STUDIO POLYLESTER_SOUTH LONDON GALLERY_PECKHAM_2018]
Public Artwork at The Pelican Estate, worked on at PolyLester in Amsterdam as part of Gabriel Lester’s comission by the South London Gallery. Trek playfully reinterprets the bollard street furniture are designed to appear as if they are birds of paradise being blown in the wind. From the ground they look like foreign bodies in motion, alien newcomers passing through the Pelican Estate. Trek is an artwork about the politics of migration.
